Weight Loss and Beans

Beans are good for more than just your heart. They’re loaded with proteins, antioxidants, vitamins, and that can benefit your brain and muscles, too. Not to mention, they digest really slowly, which can help you feel fuller, longer, and fuel weight loss efforts without causing feelings of deprivation. Look for easy-to-use, pre-cooked BPA-free varieties that come in a pouch or a box.

Add them to soups and salads or mix them with brown rice and steamed vegetables to create a hearty—yet healthy—dinner. Big into snacking? Mix black beans with some salsa and corn, and serve with some whole grain crackers in place of your favorite packaged dip. Just make sure you slip them into your diet! Eating beans is one of the 10 daily habits that blast belly fat.

Protein Payoff: 1/2 cup, 109-148 calories, 7-10 grams of protein

Just a Few Tips

When I’m trying to drop a few pounds, I carry around a shaker cup of chocolate protein powder. If I’m ravenous, I add the water, and it fills me up so I don’t eat something high-calorie instead. Brushing my teeth after dinner makes me less likely to eat again before I go to bed. Cut out drinks with calories—juice, lemonade, and, hardest of all, after-work beverages instead fill a pitcher with water and cucumbers. It’s pretty—and it feels like a treat!!

Sleep is a cornerstone of weight management because of the impact it has on your hormones that control how you burn fat, how you store fat, and how you’re maintaining muscle. The better your hormone balance, the better your weight management. Pair your treat with something that’s good for you. Want chips? Have a handful with veggies and guacamole, which is packed with good fats. In the mood for chocolate? Partner it with yogurt. That way, you’ll fill up on good stuff so you won’t devour tons of the less-healthy food.

Hemp Oil For Benefits/Weight Loss

The wife and I were at the a friends house over Thanksgiving and they were talking about Hemp oil for weight loss that they have been using  and beleave me there fitness junkies and so the next day I was thinking that I should give it a try and so I ordered it and its been actually helpful with appetite suppression and water retention. And so I thought I would write a post about Hemp oil and what I found out about reading about it and its more then just water retention and appetite suppression.

Hemp is a plant that consists of oils with numerous (health benefits). It is derived from marijuana. The hemp oil is produced from the hemp seed through a process which involves squeezing and pressing of the hemp seed.

Dark-Colored crude oil is extracted from the hemp seed with a savory taste. Hemp seed oil is derived from the Cannabis Sativa L variety of Cannabis which has very low or no amount of THC. THC is responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis.

The presence of linoleic acid in hemp seed oil prevent weight gain. It provides 725 calories per 100g as compared to olive oil which provides 884 calories per 100g. This means that consuming hemp oil allows you to add more omega-3 to your system without adding too many calories. Omega-3 fatty acids are responsible for preventing heart diseases as it lowers the content of triglycerides in the body.

Hemp oil is also known to speed up the metabolism of the body. The faster is the body metabolism, the lower is the weight. Hemp oil contains proteins that help in increasing the metabolism of the body.

Hemp oil also reduces weight by reducing the ability of the body tissues to retain water which leads to edema formation.

Hemp oil contains a high content of fiber that not only aids digestion but also makes one feel ‘full’ for a longer duration of time thus preventing one from taking too many snacks which causes weight gain.

And so just a few things that I typed out that I found and read and so Hemp oil has an important impact on weight loss, but alone it is not sufficient. It is important to change your lifestyle entirely before starting hemp oil. You need to reduce your intake of carb-rich foods and exercise on a daily basis to see effective results. Hemp oil can help you lose weight only if you want to help yourself.

Therefore, keep exercising, increased water intake and reduced fatty and sugary foods and don’t forget about your goals to loss weight.

Free weight lifting workouts

Incorporating free weight workouts into your fitness routine is a simple way to develop muscle and melt fat off your body. Graduating from standard gym equipment to free weights is a must if you want to push your body to the next level. Typical machines at the gym focus on one single movement, and usually require no balance as the machine takes care of it. Lifting a free weight, or dumbbell, requires our body to focus on proper form and doesn’t offer the luxury of pushing harder from one side. In fact, lifting free weights is a great way to correct muscle imbalances as each side of the body is forced to output the same amount of strength to complete the lifting exercise. I’ve included some simple free weight exercises below for you to try out and review.

Free Weight Workouts Can Strengthen Your Core
Having to stabilize your body while exercising can be a workout in itself. Your core and legs, when properly engaged, can provide the solid foundation to a free weight lifting routine. During every rep with your free weights, think about which part of your core should be contracted and released throughout the exercise. Throughout each lift, proper form is key in accomplishing a safe, efficient workout. If you are struggling with your form, it may be time to head back to the machines to regain the proper technique and reduce your chance of injury. At the end of the day, why only focus on one muscle group at a time, when quite easily you can achieve a full body workout by always activating your core throughout.

Pros and Cons
Like all forms of exercise, there are positive and negative aspects that everyone should be aware of prior to diving into a new workout routine. Here are some key benefits and a few things to consider when doing free weight workouts.

Pros
Free weights promote functional training by utilizing more natural body movements. Picking up the groceries, carrying your kids or lifting heavy objects in the workplace are all normal everyday activities that will benefit from a solid free weight workout routine.
Strengthens not only the muscle you are focused on, but also the stabilizer muscles surrounding
Your workout is portable. Have you ever tried putting a leg press machine into the truck of a Honda Civic? A few sets of free weights may be a touch easier.
Cons
Without the help of a personal trainer, some people may find themselves lost standing in front of the rack of free weights.
Risk of injury. Without proper form or the backup support that a machine can offer, risk of injury increases as you rely solely on your body to follow the movement, rather and pushing or pulling a machine
